We’re excited to welcome Gabby, our account team intern, to…
Meet Ashley
Since we’re a relatively new team, you may know some of us but not others. Over the next few months, we’ll introduce you to each member of the Propel team. Today we’re introducing Project Management Intern Ashley Davis
Propel: Welcome, Ashley! Let’s start with the obvious get-to-know-you question: What’s your favorite food (besides tacos)?
AD: Absolutely anything chocolate, and yes, I know chocolate isn’t a “food”, but I don’t care. I prefer dark chocolate, but all types are welcome!
P: Oh, there is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing chocolate. What do you do for fun? Any interesting hobbies?
AD: Shopping is definitely one of my favorite things to do. Whether it’s online or in a store, I love experimenting with different styles and fashions. But I also like to cook and bake when I have the time.
P: An intern who bakes! You’ll have to bring us some of your favorite chocolate concoctions. So have you seen any good movies lately? We’ve got some movie buffs in the office, so if you’ve got some suggestions, we’re all ears.
AD: I’m actually not a huge fan of movies, but I am pretty excited about seeing the new Incredibles movie that just came out! But I generally prefer binge-watching shows on Netflix. There’s so many to choose from!
P: Can you tell us a little bit about where you go to school?
AD: I’m attending the University of New York at Plattsburgh this coming fall. I chose Plattsburgh because I love the Upstate New York area (the weather is so nice, especially compared to North Carolina summers) and because I had the opportunity to play for the women’s ice hockey team.
P: Well, hockey is our favorite sport, so you’re in good company here. What’s your favorite aspect of interning with us so far?
AD: I love that everyone in the office is close to one another. There’s always a relaxed environment with plenty of joking around. It’s a nice balance between everyone working hard, and having a good time. That made it super easy to adjust, and I’m excited to come to work every day.
P: Yeah, we’re pretty good at pretending we like each other (just kidding). What kinds of projects are you looking forward to working on?
AD: Great question! I still haven’t finalized my major, but I’m leaning heavily towards business and marketing so I’m really just excited to learn more about everything that goes on here. I also love the design aspect and would love to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes.
P: You’re in the right place! Now it’s time for the last question. At Propel, we’re all about being a superpower for our clients. If you could have a super power, what it would it be?
AD: If I could have any superpower it would definitely be the ability to teleport, because I’d be able to travel the world in an instant—and for free!
